Dallas Seavey is currently a 5-time Iditarod finisher and the 2011 Yukon Quest Champion. At 24 years old, Dallas is no stranger to the trail. Growing up in Sterling, Alaska, Dallas worked with his father Mitch Seavey, the 2004 Iditarod Champion. Dallas' grandfather, Dan Seavey, helped to pioneer the 1st Iditarod race in 1973, topping the charts in 3rd place.
Dallas is currently the youngest musher to have ever finished the Iditarod; he completed that race in 2005 at the age of 18! Dallas is also the youngest Top 10 and Top 5 Iditarod finisher. His 4th place, 2011 Iditarod finish is his best to date, but he is going to change that in the next few years!
Jen Seavey began her mushing career in 2006, working for the Seavey family in Sterling, Alaska. Jen and Dallas Married in 2008 and Jen ran her rookie Iditarod Race in 2009. Nowadays you can find Jen caring for their daughter, Annie Seavey, and trying to keep Dallas organized! Jen leads tours when Annie allows, and will always maintain a passion for training and racing Sled Dogs.
